The Pudding Club....in Toronto?

The Pudding Club, as you might have guessed, is a group of culinary professionals "dedicated to the preserving the tradition of the great British Pudding".

I've been following The Pudding Club on Facebook for several years now, and from what I can garner from their posts, once a month or so, they host a pudding club night where the kitchen produces several different traditional puddings and you get to try them all, buffet style.

Think Jam Roly-Poly, Sticky Toffee pudding, Eve's Pudding, Jam and Coconut Sponge....so many options, so much custard....

Since The Pudding Club is located in the Cotswolds, England and I am located in Toronto, I have sadly not been able to make it to a Pudding Club event as of yet. Now I was back in England in October, 2025 however when you factor in family visits, tourist attraction visits with the kids.....and then POOF, time to fly home.

Even thought I've not seen it live in action, I am intrigued by the concept. I wonder if this type of thing could somehow work in Toronto. There is a very rich culinary scene in this city, but would a pudding club be too British-traditional for our current landscape? Or would it be so unique that it would have more of a draw than in England? Or would it really just be a chance for me to taste test multiple pudding recipes for "research purposes"...?

Let me know your thoughts on this concept!
